Jermaine L. Jamison is a husband, father, former football player, football coach and professional. Jermaine uses his skills of leadership, compassion, and motivation to positively impact the lives of others. In Jermaine’s words, “life is about being the best person you can be at all times regardless of circumstance”.

Born to a 14 year old single mother, Jermaine is the oldest of eight children. Jermaine spent his early years in the inner city of Kansas City, Missouri where he witnessed how substance abuse and violence ruined the lives of many people who were close to him. By the age of 10 Jermaine had also experienced the death of two siblings. Growing up impoverished, with no parental guidance, and what came to be a “me first” mentality Jermaine spent his teenage years searching for a life with identity, peace of mind, and self worth. In Jermaine’s search for a purposeful life self-defeating behaviors limited many opportunities for success along the way. After realizing he was creating the barriers to living peacefully, Jermaine began to use his freedom of choice to create a new life for himself.

Since then Jermaine has taken on life with a new outlook. Jermaine has taken the crisis and tragedy in his life and used it as an opportunity to examine the questions, “Who am I?” and “Why am I here?” In late 2001, after learning of the murder of his 23 year old sister, who was also a mother to her 5 year old daughter, Jermaine’s world felt shattered and unknown. Jermaine is the first to admit there is no easy way through experiences of that magnitude. One has to use an undetermined amount of time to grieve, accept support, rebuild, and examine one’s own life plan. Jermaine’s plan included adopting his then 5 year old niece with his wife, to begin helping her to rebuild.

Jermaine is a graduate of Emporia State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies. Jermaine is a successful sales professional as well as an inspirational speaker. Jermaine is married, has three children, and currently resides in Lenexa, KS.
